The Christian walk is extremely flawed if the believer seeks to do it in his/her strength. Yet, even when we seek to serve Christ, we may not realize it at times when we react in the flesh, rather than respond in the Spirit.
As we go to God's Word, we are reminded that we wrestle not against flesh, but against Spiritual wickedness in high places. And so, our flesh has a powerful back-up in the name of Satan himself. Therefore, so much the more critical it is for us as believers to be guided, and even saturated by the working of the Holy Spirit in our lives. We must have our steps ordered by the Holy Spirit.
2Cor.10:3-6--For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh, for the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but divinely powerful for the destruction of fortresses. We are destroying speculations and every lofty thing raised up against the knowledge of God, and we are taking every thought captive to the obedience of Christ, and we are ready to punish all disobedience, whenever your obedience is complete.
